Conversational French
Why not learn to speak conversational French in France? It is fun to be comfortable with basic phrases in a language, and, once one begins to understand French phrasing, speaking is just around the corner.
This short course is not designed to make you fluent in the language, but, to get you started on a social level. The focus is on speaking colloquial, frequently used French phrases, while learning the necessary basic sentences. The course is designed for a selection of needed social conversation and its repetition. Speaking the French you've learned is encouraged during your stay at the chateau, and, vocabulary flash cards are placed throughout the house to improve your comfort, widen your vocabulary, and increase your repertoire of the language.
*Side excursions are planned to the local farmer's market of Fontainebleau and Milly la Foret where students are encouraged to speak with the locals in French.
*Different areas in the city are targeted for side trips, where students can use their skills in everyday life. (See general itinerary)
*Visits from French locals are planned during the day to encourage daily conversation with students.
This course is an abbreviated way to "jump in" and start conversing in French on an elementary level. It's relaxed, it's fun and it's the first step to understanding and learning the language!
